About Us

Coulter Dental Laboratory has been part of Michigan’s dental community since the late 1920s. While some of the earliest details were lost through several changes in ownership, the values that shaped the original lab—craftsmanship, pride in the work, and a commitment to quality—still guide its operations today.

The lab has had a long presence in Flint and has operated for many years at its location on Exchange Drive, serving dentists throughout the region. Over time, Coulter Dental Laboratory has developed a reputation for reliability, precision, and helpful collaboration with the dental professionals it supports. This reputation is reflected in the positive feedback the lab regularly receives. [manta.com] [chamberofc…mmerce.com], [reviews.birdeye.com]

Coulter Dental Laboratory focuses solely on fixed dental restorations. This includes single crowns designed for strength and esthetics, fixed partial dentures such as bridges, and full-arch and implant-supported restorative solutions. The lab does not fabricate or repair removable partial dentures or removable complete dentures, maintaining a clear focus on fixed, custom-made restorations.

Nearly all materials and components used in the lab’s work are sourced and fabricated in Michigan. In occasional situations where work must be completed outside the state, it is still performed within the United States to maintain consistent standards.

Coulter Dental Lab employs skilled technicians who work closely with dental offices, combining experience, craftsmanship, and modern techniques to produce restorations that help patients achieve comfort, confidence, and natural results.

Across its many decades of evolution, the lab’s commitment to dependable service and careful craftsmanship has remained the central theme of its long history.

Dr. Carlos Grasso purchased the lab from the previous owner in 1984.  Since the first day, he has worked to build the lab into what it has become today.  He has worked to integrate the business into the community and his family into the business.
