   The process of creating dental crowns and bridges is a blend of digital precision and artisanal craftsmanship. It typically begins with the dentist preparing the natural teeth and taking a highly accurate impression, either using traditional putty or a 3D digital scanner. This impression is sent to a dental laboratory, where technicians create a model of the patient’s mouth to ensure a perfect fit and proper “bite” alignment. Depending on the material chosen—such as porcelain, zirconia, or gold—the restoration is either milled using CAD/CAM technology or hand-layered by a ceramist to match the natural shade and translucency of the surrounding teeth. Once finished, the crown or bridge is polished and sent back to the dentist to be permanently cemented, restoring both the function and the aesthetics of the patient’s smile.
